FOTD | Black Opal Makeup Look
This post is kind of an extension from my June Glowwbox post as a couple of you wanted to see swatches of the Black Opal goodies that were included.
I'm wearing the Black Opal Colour Splurge Patent Lips in Orange Blaze (£8.95)* and the Black Opal Colour Splurge Eye Colour in Dusky Glow (£6.95)*. Both work well together to create a beautiful bronzed summery look. The lip colour is not something I would have initially picked for myself but it's not as bright and much more flattering on the skintone than it looks in the packaging. It's very pigmented, delivering a beautiful colour result with a few swipes and there's gold flecks in the formula for a pretty shimmer. I used both shades of the Eye Colour duo, sweeping the peach-y gold tone from the inner corner of my eyes to the centre. I then used the darker bronzed shade for the outer corners to tie the eye makeup together. For the rest of my face I stuck to my usual makeup routine, with a little bronzer.

You look lovely Lesley. I'm not big on make up anymore and it causes me to break out, but I am still a fan of lipsticks and glosses! And I actually thought that was your hair!
ReplyDeleteThank you Yemi! I really need to lay off the foundation now it's hotter as it's starting to make me break out too x

Aww thank you Sara! x
Deletethe first photo is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe wig suits the make up. Surely you could get your hair like that as well? Isn't it warm with wigs in the summer?
Do you know any good stylist in North London? NW3 or around there?
Thanks Lisa. My hair is a lot shorter now though I could probably get a similar style with a twist out. It's a lot of hair so probably will be quite warm at times, but I have shorter wigs I can wear if it gets too much.
DeleteI rarely go to stylists so I don't know any good ones in North London unfortunately x
I love the look and the gloss is perfect on you! Gorgeous!
