Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balms

Described as a ‘nourishing lip shine’ these Posh Balms are pretty foolproof.

Think sheer, balm-y colour available in 4 shades:

Glacé (clear), Fleur (rose pink), Colette (poppy red) and Cassis (blackberry) retailing at £30 each*

It's pretty steep pricing for a sheer balm but on par price-point wise with the VB Posh Gloss.

The price is slightly justified by the formula which boasts Lanolin for deep hydration, Murumuru Seed Butter to help with moisture retention and Cucumber Seed extract to nourish the lips. It’s housed within a beautiful cream aluminium casing with embossed lettering too – so chic.

The 3 colour shades contain light pH adaptive technology which the brand claims the user experiences a personalised wash of colour. I’ve never totally understood how and if pH adaptive makeup really works but it’s intriguing it’s been included. The shades have looked pretty consistent on me each time I’ve applied them. It’s hard to tell looking at them swatched on the website too as the sheer colour means the model’s natural lip tone peeps through the product. In any case I look forward to using them more and seeing if the colour changes.

The balm clicks up from twisting the base dispensing the perfect amount but it’s non retractable. I love that you don’t need a lot to saturate the lips. Performance-wise it is very easy to use - it is a sheer balm after all. It's just the right amount of shine too with a smooth waxy texture and no stickiness. Overall a great little collection of balms and I've already become accustomed to having at least one stashed in my handbag.
