Hair Update | September 2015 [Video]

I've been debating cutting my straight relaxed ends off pretty much all year and whilst I wanted to wait it out at least another 6 months I just couldn't. I grabbed my shears and started cutting off about an inch just to see how I felt. What started out as a small cut led to me chopping off all of my ends over the last few days and I'm just relieved that my transition to texlaxed is finally over! I've got 10 months worth of natural new growth still but I definitely prefer only having natural and texlaxed hair without my straight relaxed ends in the mix as well. I've probably got more cutting to do but for now I'm happy.

  2. My hair was finally natural and growing and then this past summer I cut some off again. It was getting long and hot and now I regret it. I'm gonna let it grow again! x

  5. Looks so good! Have you tried oil rinsing? I don't do it myself but I've seen from a number of people on youtube that it increases the shine of your hair without weighing it down (because you rinse the excess out). Also, it may just be because your hair's in its curly unstretched state! My hair is a lot glossier when I stretch it out with bantu knots or curlformers or the like.

  6. Hair goals!! Have you been 10 months with no relaxing? I'm having trouble with styling my neck length hair with is half bone straight and half texlaxed. Any suggestions?

  7. My goodness! I did not realize you had been stretching all this time, I took it for granted that you were texlaxing. I vote to keep the stretch going! You have become comfortable with it now it seems, and your hair is thriving. Go for it!!
I guess we'll wait till Nov.
