What I Wore | Missguided Skort

I recently bought a sewing machine to make a few minor alterations to some clothes gathering dust in my wardrobe including this emerald green skort from Missguided.

I've always felt a little luke warm about the skort (shorts that look like a skirt at the front) but took the plunge and I bought this one almost a year ago. The problem was this skort was way too big around my waist but I figured I could make it work anyway. I was so wrong. The skort sat perfectly on my hips but something just looked off. As a result this skort got lost with all the other clothes that could do with a little needlework.

I'm pretty rusty with a sewing machine (it's been 10 years since I last used one) but I managed to nip this beauty in at the waist, giving my skort a new lease of life. I'm a lot more excited to wear my skort now and it'll be interesting to mix it up with my autumn/winter pieces.

Today I wore my skort with a thick knit and loose white shirt for a casual look. I kept my accessories minimal (as usual) opting for a tan belt and a new Olivia Burton watch.

What have you been wearing?

    1. Thank you Tomes! I didn't make the skort, just altered the size, but I've already started making adjustments to my other clothes that don't fit quite right. It's definitely made me more excited to wear what's in my wardrobe already x
