Hair Cut | June 2014 [Video]

I finally cut my ends and got rid of 3 & 1/4 inches altogether. I've gone from waist length to bra strap length which is a weird change as my hair feels so 'short' but I am so much happier with how my ends look.

I always cut my hair myself and have done for the last few years. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a precise cut as it is difficult to get it perfect by yourself. I rarely get a 'perfect' cut but I don't mind it this way as I'm transitioning to texlaxed. However, I do start small with any trims, and then go back in with the scissors later if it's not looking quite right.

For the last couple of years I've relied on Feye's self-trim methods. I was planning to cut my hair bluntly but I found so many short layers that I ended up going for a V shape.

I always find it so hard to get good before and after pictures now where I'm mostly having to cut my hair in the evenings so please check out the video to see how my hair looks.

What have you been doing with your hair lately?

  5. I've noticed quite a few people are cutting their hair! I am going to be cutting mine too at the end of summer, maybe about 3 inches. I just feel the ends are really thin, old and over processed, whereas the hair at the top half of my head is more thicker and better taken care of. I cant wait :-) xx
